AR review: Additional offline planning for DesignCon. All speakers have committed to attend by phone or in person. Most papers have been uploaded, but the link has not yet been added to summits page. SiSoft will order lunch, and IBIS will pay for it. Pizza would be OK. John Angulo, ramp-to-Vt-crosscheck, no progress. Should be called ramp-to-IV crosscheck. Level 0 versus Level 1: Level 0 means "can be checked by software". Kim thinks it should be what is checked today, or else document sections would need to be revised. How should document mention which checks are made in current ibischk, and which are not? For example, Ramp could be checked against IV tables, but is not checked by ibischk3. AR: Tabled to next meeting. - Opens for new items Summit Discussions: Kim gave his impressions of the Quality presentation. Attendance was lower than last year. Kim will send his recommended slide updates to Bob Haller. Bob Ross noted that DAC Summit attendance has been around 25 in the past, was 20 this year. Robert Haller noted that 17 people were pre-registered for DesignCon East Summit. Laptop will be provided by Cadence; backup laptop provided by Cisco. SiSoft will arrange for copies. Project is being provided by Mentor. AR: Bob Haller to send pre-registration list to Bob Ross. - Detailed Documentation review Waveform_processing.txt (IQ_4_5_wave_proc.txt) Item 6 (ramp): Mike will include check of Ramp against IV for dV. Bob Ross noted that V-t tables to Vcc and GND might exist, but might not be useful for Ramp comparisons (such as differential buffer.) Rules for determining Vcc for Ramp are sensitive to I/O type. John noted that some differential buffers indicate Ramp was actually generated using a differential load instead of the specified load. This section of the spec is out of date, since V-t tables were intended to supercede ramp. Mike suggested we word this section accordingly. Item 7 (waveform processing) A number of these are not presently checked by ibischk3, but document lists them as Level 0. Those could be moved to Level 1, or else a bug filed. Since Vmeas is a databook parameter, it is Level 1. Could say having Vmeas between Vinh and Vinl is common, but not required. Bugs should be filed to update ibischk3 warnings. BIRDs should be filed to update IBIS spec. This might be included in the Model section, since it only applies to buffers. Item 5: OK to mention specific interfaces, such as HSTL and SSTL. - Plans and Schedule for next meeting Continue document review Upcoming meetings: IBIS Summit on Monday, June 23.
